The ZOLL AED 3 Automatic is ZOLL’s current-generation AED, combining a full-color touchscreen, automatic shock delivery, and a single universal electrode set that works for both adult and pediatric rescues. RapidShock™ analysis shortens the rhythm-check pause between compressions, and built-in WiFi lets the device report its own readiness status to a device-management program automatically.
What’s Included
- ZOLL CPR Uni-padz® III universal adult/pediatric electrodes (single pad set, switched by a child-mode button)
- Non-rechargeable lithium battery (5-year rated life)
- Rescue accessory pack (gloves, CPR barrier mask, razor, paper towel, cleaning towelette)
- Physician prescription documentation — required by the FDA on all ZOLL AEDs
- 6-year ZOLL manufacturer warranty (extendable to 8 years with warranty registration)
Case Design
Rated IP55 for dust and moisture resistance, with a dual-orientation shell that lays flat or stands upright for better display visibility. Operating range of 32°F to 122°F.
Touchscreen & Connectivity
Full-color touchscreen display walks a rescuer through each rescue step with images, text, and voice prompts. Real CPR Help® gives live compression-rate and depth feedback. WiFi connectivity supports remote self-test reporting so device readiness can be monitored across a facility or fleet without a physical inspection.
Where It’s Used
A common choice where one AED needs to cover both adult staff/visitors and pediatric populations — schools, recreation centers, healthcare and daycare-adjacent facilities — without stocking two separate pad sets.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need separate pediatric pads?
No. The CPR Uni-padz III electrode set is universal — pressing the child-mode button on the device switches the energy delivery for pediatric rescue using the same pads.
Does this include a prescription?
Yes — the FDA requires a physician prescription on all ZOLL AED units, and it’s included with every unit regardless of automatic/semi-automatic configuration.
Is this the automatic or semi-automatic version?
This is the fully automatic ZOLL AED 3, which delivers the shock on its own once a shockable rhythm is confirmed. The semi-automatic version is listed separately.
How is device readiness monitored?
The AED 3 performs automated self-tests and can report status over WiFi to a device-management platform, flagging expired batteries or pads before they become a problem.
